An Introduction to My How To Guides
Written by Wolfe

My blog site's CMS comes with a polling system for reader input. I was wondering on what to do with it, if anything at all. I was also wondering which of the many ideas I have for how to guides I was going to write next when it occurred to me to use the polling system and have you, the readers decide for me.

I was an Information Broker for almost 20 years, and I still on occasion take on a project from time to time. So I have a number of resources at hand to finding out information that I barely use any more, and a deep interest in doing things yourself. So I have listed the first 12 guides I could think of that I could write in the polling system, and wait for you the readers of this blog to tell me what to do.

The How to Guides will follow a few rules, so if you feel incline to message me via my contact page to suggest some more feel free to do so, but keep the following in mind.

  1. They must be of a legal matter in Canada, the USA, and the United Kingdom. The servers that run this site, and the related sites connected to my blog, (more on that in the future) are in each so I am obliged to comply to the laws of all three. So I won't be telling you how to make a Kentucky Riffle, even if it is the coolest thing on the planet.

  2. They must be something that a single person can do. A one man job if you will, if I choose to add to the How To Guides that require more then one person, it will have to wait not only for The Farm, but also for the money. ;)

  3. They must cost next to nothing. I'm not rich, and I doubt that many of my readers are either, therefore the supplies to create, make, or alter must be from recycled materials, found naturally, or bought at thrift stores, garage sales and what not, etc.

  4. They must be subject related, as in, self efficient, self reliance, off the grid, and/or survivalist based. After all, that's what this blog is about mostly these days.

  5. Finally, I'd prefer to do guides that are not covered else where. You can always suggest a link for me to add via my contact page and I'll include it.

In the mean time, there are the 12 suggestions to vote on right now look for it on this page, and check out the current results to the polls. Please only vote once. The others will be included in the next poll if they do not win this round with another being added to the list. For the first one I wait to start on the guide till there are at least a hundred votes.
